PPP link is UP!, But...

 thanks for the info so far, I was connecting at the wrong speed, I
went into the arachne.cfg and manually set it at 2400 and now it works
until...

It asks for username,
I enter username.
it asks for password,and,
it don't do anything! I try to type in my password and the cursor
don't move, nothing I type appears on the screen. Has antone
encountered this before?
