Yes, yes, yes !!!!

I too have been caught in this mistake. That's when I go get a new 
cup of coffee,  while the keyboard buffer clears itself.

P.S. I find I make this mistake most often when I am
     navigating without mouse. Maybe keyboard buffer
     could be cleared automatically to avoid this trap.
