Ron/Edenyard,

I heard Windows could automatically get DNS numbers from the server when logging
on, but other OSes couldn't.  I don't know how it's done.  Non-Windows OSes
therefore need to be told the DNS numbers, usually two dotted-decimal addresses,
though some applications use only the first of these two.
