You are traveling and do not have access to your ISP's dialup
network but you have access to the web on another computer, you can
still access your email. I agree it is inferior to POP/SMTP access,
but I guess "any port in a storm" is a good alternative in some
situations. BTW, the web mail access at 1NationOnline is limited to
reading your mail with Arachne, as most of the other actions are
Javascript, but of course if you are accessing the web through
somebody elses computer, you are most likely going to be using a
Javascript capable browser anyway.

No I think most nodes on their rented network are probably 56k
access, though I don't have 56k myself to verify that on my local
dialup access numbers.
