Bernie....

...I think your meant to say, "...if you get the files FROM 3.51."....
...the HPFS support in 3.51 was/is minimal.....I haven't stressed the
functionality, but it is about the same support the OS2 gives DOS for
reading its own HPFS files....and, like HPFS support given DOS by OS2,
NT3.51 gives itself limited functionality to only read some parts of
the HPFS files....I'm not going into any more detail, since it is very
OT...
...can NT4 use the files from 3.51 to have the same access to HPFS as
3.51 does...?....I don't know....I don't have NT4, and do not EVER
intend to get it...and NT5, from all my technical journals/casts, has
even less/(or none at all) support for HPFS....this is also very OT,
and is irrelevent...
...What I was trying to point out was that Windzzzz was "progressing"
itself into a computer-ological "deadend"...Mz$ft is consciously doing
this in an attempt (so far, seemingly successful) to finally lock
eeeevvvveeeerrrrryyything into Mzz$s proprietary world...but, in
actual fact they HAVE already failed....Linux is the proof of this..
...and THEREFORE, because it is a "deadend" ...and Linux proves this,
................Don't Windows.................................
