 The answer is simple.
Most Windows users don't know how to change to something different.
(members of this list are of coarse some of the few exceptions)

My sister has no idea how to change.
So she continues to use M$OE for mail.
Last month, she was infected with and sent out to about 50 others....

(yes, M$OE opened the attachment automatically when she moved to that message)
