Of course most of us will most heartily concur with your sentiments that
this practice of offering free javasnits should be most strongly
discouraged, and that the proper learning of standard HTML should be
widely promoted; however, most of us will not agree that the offerings
of some idiotic and stupid stuff for free download should be prohibited by
law. The universal right to enjoy open and free speech and expression
imposes an obligation on all of us to tolerate even those who promote all
kinds of weak notions and stupid ideas. If you don't like what a web site
is offering, then don't visit the site. Those who produce web sites that
aren't compatible with everyone's browsers will not have their web sites
visited as often. Their web sites will be complained about. Serves them
right! As for web-sites that offer material that is actually harmful
for some people's computers, then that's another story. Such web sites
should be closed down.
