I use IE 3 in Win 3.1 without Win32S. IE 3 comes in several different
versions containing more or less functionality, but the "full version"
includes a complete Winsock dialer pgm ("Shiva dialer") that doesn't need
32-bit anything.
IE 4 and later might be a different story. Don't know much about it
except that it needs more RAM than the 8 meg I have.
