I mainly search with AllTheWeb at the moment, but ended up
at AltaVista's advanced search, where I keyed in:
"cold fusion" AND complaints AND allaire
(the latter term is the developer's name and serves to cull all
the mystical physics behind "Cold Fusion")
A no-punches-pulled paragraph from:
http://www.webdevelopersjournal.com/software/coldfusion_problems.html
"It is quite difficult to review a product like ColdFusion without actually
testing it in a real commercial setting. On the surface all appears fine.
I myself chose to use the product based on my competitive evaluations
and due diligence. As with many of these complicated products you
cannot really know if it is going to be OK until you actually try to use it
in a real production environment. Then you find out about the hidden
incompatibilities and weird system problems. In my opinion, much of
the cool new Internet software out there right now is shoddy and bug-ridden.
The push to get to market with the new features before someone else does
is so strong the actual customer use of these hurried products becomes
a side issue."
