Dear List:
after getting some beautiful photos as attachments, I realise I
cant print them! Arachne supports a good variety of video cards,
but no printers :-(
To drive the epson 740 printer here I had to fire up windows and
put the pictures in Paintbrush, only to discover I still could
not print without the right SVGA card driver in place - not in
256 colours anyway, and the 16 bit rendition was truly awful!
Is there any chance of getting printer drivers for Arachne?
She does nearly everything else one would like in an operating
system!
I tried out a few other DOS graphics programs I had, but without
success. Are there any DOS programs which do keep up to date
with drivers for printers?
I was agreeably surprised that Protel works in B&W, but no cigar
as you say.
