If the required code for https is, as someone stated awhile back, open
source ...

There is no excuse for Arachne not having https capability.

Yes, there are still many pages you can get around by going to page code
and removing that little "s" ... but more and more sights are checking
to see what URL you used to access specific pages.

And if you don't use https to get there, you're told "tough luck ... you
must connect with a secure page and code."

Without the ability to access and use https, Arachne is being delegated
from the status of "I can't believe what a great browser it is!" to
"It's a cute toy for DOS, but really worthless most of the time."

I'm not quite as far into the boonies as "tramp copulation Northern
Africa" ... but being unable to purchase on the web is severely limiting
me. I can't be driving 30 or 50 or 100 miles round trip to get the
things I need. :<

Michael, since you're still in alphabet stage on the Linux release
anyway, would you PLEASE grab that source code and find a way to get
https integral to Arachne. You've said all along that if you can get
something to work in Linux, you'll be able to get it to work in DOS. If
Arachne for Linux is going to be competitive, it must have https
ability.
