than Arachne should alow secured connections!
I have no idea of the difficulties involved into making Arachne dealing
with secured connections, but Arachne should have this feature to stay
competitive.

I believe the newer releases of Netscape extend the security certificate of
Netscape.  Also, Netscape for Linux and OS/2 as well as Windows can be 
fortified at http://www.fortify.net for 128-bit encryption.  I haven't been
there in some time, so possibly this might have changed?

For the future there is Mozilla and OpenSSL, and OpenSSL would not be limited to
Mozilla.
