Hi gang - This has been covered before, but I just can't remember how to accomplish this, so I'd appreciate some guidance. I've got a 386 with a monochrome Hercules monitor (that chokes Arachne) and 3 megs or RAM that I am sprucing up to give away to a local charity or school. It's got built-in Com1 & Com2 ports. The internal modem I am adding is presently set for Com4, which works, but both Com2 (mouse) and Com4 are using IRQ3, which can potentially cause some problems. It's a Supra Express PNP 33.6 modem, so there are no jumpers to reset the Com port. Is there an easy way to force the modem to use a different IRQ? Since Arachne won't work on this machine, I'm installing Nettamer (along with Geoworks 1.2) so it will have basic e-mail/newgroup/telnet functions. Geoworks will give it a pretty good word processor with spelling checker and a GUI. Any suggestions? Thanks, Richard Burckhardt AccessMasters.Com http://www.accessmasters.com/dos.html
