This is not to at all belittle arachne, but the topic of test only download
was mentioned (with images only if asked for). In this regard, I recently
downloaded I think one of the most recent versions (2.8 beta?) for dos.
I am absolutely amazed. It is as fast as the lynx I run from my ISP's Unix
server, and has various extra goodies. I think this thing can beat the times
of the best DSL winblose models, and at least 90% of what I look at on the
internet does not require pictures and renders decently with lynx.
Alas, I end up having quite a few browsers for different needs (netscape on
3.1 if I absolutely must have 128 bit SSL encryption, etc.).
