You can have several references:
1)The Mozilla project. They got it open-source. Maybe you can ask in
  one of their development forums?..
2)KDE project got their own browser, as the Linux users know. Maybe
  ask someone from there.

In general, anyone who is working on a open source/alternative, yet
popular browser can help on the compatibility matters. And I bet that
they will be more willing to help then the 'official' companies.
(The new Netscape corp, Microsoft..)
