I don't know. As posted to the list, I had to add ECHO Y | in front of each
DEL command. That solved the problem with hanging. But still there are some
problems left. There are still some tiny dashes appearing across the screen
when clearing the cache, and the Lock File Detected screen is still being
displayed after clearing the cache.
