Similar experience here. Less capabable CPU and less complex tasks in
A166. Because, without an FPU, the music breaks up when many channels
are running simultaniously, I have the buffer set to 1500 millisecs, the
output sample rate to 16538.
With my 16MB RAM / 8MB RD I see now why it will never be my solution.

CP 2.60pre beta4 relies heavily upon the FPU. Its faster and uses less
conv mem. It stores samples as 32 bit, and requires RAM of about 4x the
size of the mod being played. It also incorperates several bugfixes. :-)
I can't use it because of the FPU requirement :-(

This ver seems to have dissapeared from the net, but if anyone has an
interest in testing it, drop a line.

I'm still searching for another player which offers the prompt :-)
