Hi Roger,
         My Gateway is a 4sx-33 not 4dx-33. That probably
makes a difference. This mobo is one of those where most
chips are soldered in instead of socketed. That includes
everything(serial ports,video,parallel port,CPU) except
memory and ZIF socket. I didn't do the upgrade. I got
the machine given to me because it is so slow and didn't
upgrade the way the former owner wanted. They gave up
and gave it to me because I have a #@*!&WinMod that I
thought might work in it. Of course I couldn't get it
to function. The WinMod needs a 200mhz Pent chip I think.
The gateway hd goes to sleep and probably something else
is sleeping cause it's really bogged down. It works ok
in general, just slow!
