What Arachne version is/was this ?
I ask because I think it may be related to a problem I noticed with 1.61/2.
The memory image of Arachne.cfg gets corrupted somehow, and whenever you
make a change that requires Arachne to write the .cfg to disk, the crap
goes out with it. I have seen some pretty serious deletions/substitutions.
Like half of A.cfg gone and replaced by html.
