I have found that I can invent any name and email address and type it in
on my "From:" line, and the smtp server will accept it and send the message
on to its destination, provided the destination address is not a mailing
list, such as [EMAIL PROTECTED]

If I wanted to, I could send you a prank message off list and use an
invented name and email address. By examining the "complete headers"
you would quickly discover that the true culprit was just I. I'm not
going to do that to you because you would easily find me out and then
you might get even.

All the best,
