Quite right, this is a problem.
I gather that you are trying to add a button or webring link to your
page, and that the needed code was written into the text of another
page. Simply looking at it can be misleading. However, using Arachne,
you can cut-and-paste the source to your page:-)
1. Load thier page and hit "F4"
2. Click and hold down the mouse button at the start of the code you
wish to copy.
3. Drag the mouse to the end of the code you wish to copy. Let go and
see a yellow highlighted area.
4. Press "Cntrl-C"; in the status bar the words "Block written" will
appear.
5. Load your page, hit "F4"
6. Make a one-line gap where you would like the new code inserted.
7. Place the curser at the start of the gap and press "Cntrl-V".
8. Tidy up as needed.
- ----NOTE----
There is another bug here too!! If you copy more than one line, the last
line will NOT be pasted:-(
If you want two, copy three, et cetra.
Good luck:-) Pete

thanks again pete!
and greatings to vermont over the sea, it sounds like a great place to
live there.
i also know the other think you hint. arachne only copy the part of lines in
the viewable window, when we are editing code with f4.
thanks for your help!

p.s. i hope the people of arachne will solve the differences between source
and rendered page, when links like this be wraped with lost slashes in space
