I doubt Pegasus will handle UNIX format mail,
Pegasus Had been *suggested to me as being able* to read/handle my
unixPINE saved e-mail so I Am now going to try it.
but there are other programs for offline

I Have the URL for ReRead by Helmo Clausen from the [EMAIL PROTECTED]
list yet decided to go with Pegasus because ReRead though extensive seemed
not of much use to my unixPINE saved sent-mails... I don't know whether
pcpine would be of much help...

offline e-mailing has been somewhat of a nightmare for me... having first
tried it with Windows eudora 1.5.2... then from the FileManager tried to
start eudora *on a zip disk* by dropping a 14M eudora mailbox as an
initial file... this promptly deleted the (huge) eudora mailbox from the
zip disk.
my copy of win3.1 was then down for almost a year and a half in trying to
recover this lost file (: I later ordered the norton utilities v8.0 for
win3.1... surprisingly to me, upon reading the manual, there may still be
a way to recover this lost mailbox from whatever, of the four zip disks I
own, it was on, despite them being opened again for writing countless
times since [ by finding the starting cluster ].
LUCKILY! DOS or Windows 3.1 back-up and make and keep multiple copies of
WIN.INI, SYSTEM.INI and CONTROL.INI!

it is so frustrating, only adding to my difficulties in using old
hardware and software, to get to a site only to find I need to modify
[ i.e do yet another arachne re-configuration ] my end just so I may
download a file... and right now I am still not sure even if I go back
into window's netscape that I will be able to download from mp3.com (:
I see my topo as having two files: my Arachne 1.66 system and my

once I do { if I am able } to download a mp3 file, I must re-modify my
autoexec.bat and reboot to re-enable my SB card
I had to disable everything to allow enough low memory to run Arachne
I Do have the version/URL for the correct Realplayer {v.5} to use with my
3.1 window's netscape or IE

it's not so much "real" as convieniant(sp)... my ISP allows me to spend
long periods of time connected to his unix machines with a DOS-shell
connection; so typing everything online is the cheapest/fastest/easiest
way of me communicating via e-mail and even surfing the WWW via unix
lynx...
but I will try what you suggest with Pegasus ( i.e. installing it in the
Arachne directory ) there have been two recent posts to the Arachne list
on Arachne and Pegasus which I have saved and will study.
