I've a nasty feeling that someone's going to hate me for this:
Today I sent L.D. two messages, as she requested, with identical
attachments - one from V1.66 and one from V1.64. Just to make sure that
they went out properly, I CC'd them to myself. I received the CC versions
about ten minutes ago and was horrified to find that BOTH attachments
were recovered at the correct length + 1 byte.
Disgusted, I sent myself another message with the attachment using
V1.66 and that has just now come back at the erroneous extra-long
length. Not knowing where to go from here (although some people probably
have a suggestion in mind....), I looked at the recovered extra-length
file with XTree's text viewer. It looked sort of familiar. In fact, it
looked identical to what I've seen when looking in a .TBS message file
that has the .ZIP file attached.
Arachne obviously ISN'T bothering to decode the attachment before
delivering it back to the recipient. But only sometimes.
Confused more than ever,
Ron.
