In the program on which I write this email, Goin' Postal which was developed
for the HPLX computer (XT comparable) I find also epppd.exe with the
same date and time stamp as the epppd.exe from Arachne but nearly
half its size. Arachne's epppd.exe 49.258 against 27.479.
Is there somebody who could give me an idea from where this size difference
is coming?
I am also intrigued by the enormous activity this Goin' Postal causes when
contacting my ISP. The modem lights are doing overtime ;-)
If nothing goes I use Goin' Postal on my Pentium II (400 mHz)
Could that be caused by the data packet size? Is it possible to make this
packet size smaller for Arachne in order to overcome the connection
difficulties and line noise problems that I have with Arachne. It is not
directly falling asleep but sometimes I could really use some acceleration
;-).
