You are aware that you can change this in DOS right? Although almost no
programs will work (they don't check to see which it is), Microsoft added
the ability to switch between \ and / early on.
I've seen the comment (not here) that UNIX is better since it (/) can be
created by hitting one key even on non-US keyboards - this is untrue).
Besides "/?" is much faster on a US keyboard than "--help" ;-)

BTW: While speaking about keyboards I've found a way to switch images
on/off even if you don't have a US keyboard (ie. you have used keyb.com).
Press CTRL-ALT-F1 and the appropiate key and then press CTRL-ALT-F2 when
you want the normal keyboard back. Untested with DR-DOS but should work
with all M$ and IBM versions.

I miss it even more if it isn't activated in Linux (but that's the admins
at uni. fault not Linux). There are shells for DOS that will do the same
thing for you.
