Hi All,
Just and additional note that I haven't
seen mentioned precisely. As far as I can figure
when one "exits" Win95, a screen comes up that
says something like "it is now safe to turn off
your computer". When this screen comes up the
system has been returned to DOS. You don't have
to reboot to get DOS.... you are already there!
However, the video mode is not compatible with
DOS. I have to check to be sure I remember correctly
but this is what I do to avoid a reboot and avoid
losing everything on my RAM disk:

      1. When I get "safe to turn off computer" message
          I hit ctrl-break.
      2. I enter "cls".
      3. I enter a command to return video to proper mode.
I usually just load a picture viewer such as
QuickView and exit it to straighten out the video.
      4. I do whatever I want to do in DOS.

    Eric

P.S. Clarence, don't wear asbestos underwear! It's supposed
to be carcinogenic. Use an asbestos substitute.....
      we need you! <VBG>
