There is also a CD image, which works like linux ... you boot, and install
QNX in its own partition.

It's a OS :)
If you do the convenience install under windows, than it works like loadlin
(if you select to boot to QNX a driver is called from config.sys which
loads QNX.)

If you have installed into your own partition IMHO a bootsector loader like
LILO is used.
