Greetings again-
On my HP pc, in modem properties it says that com1 has no modem
installed and com2 has a conexant soft k56 pci modem. In more info it
says com2 int.0 adr 2f8....id pci rss18003
When I run modemtst it does a test on Port1 and it says it passed...
serial 1 port ad 3f8 irq 4 irq (out2) enabled yes
bios detects as com1
When I run modemdoc it says
com1 installed/free Uart drive 16450 Legacy
com2 in use
in initial diog., messages--modem off-line or not compatible
in Uart status---cts status is not being received by comm
drive...suspect bad cable or modem turned off
What the hell do I have?????!!!!!!!!
Still bidding on ext. modems....for the laptop and this one if I can't
get it set right...
