Well it looks like three programs agree that you have something on com 1.
But Modemtst would not say port 1 passed unless it was a MODEM.
Try this: Modemtst 1 ATI3
and Modemtst 1 ATI7
That's AT + the letter "eye". <g>
Both should give some info about the supposed modem on com1,
Try the same for port 2.
