I'll tell any and sundry.
After running parallel for about a week, I switched over to running 1.66
full time. While running parallel 1.66 was on a different physical HDD
than 1.64; the problems with lost sectors and loose chains -- most of
which were connected in one way or another with smtp.log information --
continue to make their presense felt.
I'm now considering writing my batch file to automatically chkdsk/f and
not save the files created. [There was 1.7Mb of trash on the 2nd HDD
just from a week's worth of using Arachne 1.66 primarily for mail runs.]

P.S. While I'm on unpopular subjects, I'll ask another question: When
will the HISTORY.LST be changed from a 'debug tool' to a 'user tool?'
It would be nice to be able to go back to the mail one was reading
before a link was followed; right now you almost have to hit "I" and
find the message again from the index.
