I must apologize to every member of this list. My 'bug fixed' message
should have been kept 'off list'.
Michael was 100% correct by 'chastising' me.
I promise not to do it again.
That said, I'll comment on your comments. <g>
Rest assured that Michael *IS* working to make Arachne a 'real alternative'
to the big browsers.
As for what should be changed and how things should be done.
IMO, Michael's word..... IS LAW.
Please remember, Arachne is his baby.
As for "wasting good work" as you put it.
By no means has Michael wasted anything.
I have no doubts that he'll find a better way of accessing 'very long URLs'
than the way I did it.
FWIW, My URLsize "bug fix" has been proven to be a very bad idea.
I doubt that anyone here wants Arachne to use 9kb more memory
due to one of my 'fixes'. <g>
I'll bet you dollars-to-donuts that Michael has already found
a better 'fix' than mine. :)
In closing,
Michael is right.
I was wrong.
(please make any replies to this message directly to [EMAIL PROTECTED] )
Thank you.
