It appears that Robert has developed a very plausible explanation.
While reading his original reply on this topic, press F6 to read
his "hidden" explanation.  His entire explanation appears in lines
of text that cannot be viewed within Arachne.  He says that "begin",
when used to start a line of text, is interpreted by InSight as a
keyword used to parse code instead of text.
