I'm using the DOS version of arachne. In the setup menu there is a setting titled "required minimal free disk space" which has a default value of: 125kB "on each drive". Can anyone suggest what is meant by this? and what value it should best be set to in my case? Apparently it is a user settable value. I'm running arachne from the hard drive, but have a 2 million byte RAM disk that arachne can make use of. That's not 2 megabyte. (I have the cache set up on the RAM drive, and arachetemp pointing to the RAM drive.) As I have currently configured arache it is not stable, crashing a lot of the time with an "illegal xSwap address" or something like that. Thanks to those who are answering these questions. :-)
