Helm,

I am one of the Compuserve users that use Arachne. No, you don't need to use
only their software. However, I don't know whether you can use Insight to
get mail from Compuserve although you probably could use Insight to send
mail. I use TAPCIS (Go Tapcis) for my e-mail program and am generally
satisfied with it.

Here is the portion of the Arachne.ACF file that I use to access the web thru
Compuserve:

;This is ARACHNE.CFG for Arachne version 1.6+
;If you want to use Arachne on PC with CPU 486+ you should start here.
;(tested on AMD K5/133). You should have really fast video card for this.
;This configuration file can be completely controled from Arachne setup.
;Run "setup" if you are not sure what to change in configuration file.

Any info will be appreciated.<<
