I was on Compuserve till early 1998 and used Arachne successfully
back then. You will need to set the port settings to 7E1 and create
a script to logon and then tell them you want a PPP session.
Unfortunately I lost all of my old saved email in October from the
list and my memory is pretty poor about the details. You should be
able to get the DNS addresses from Compuserve. The IP address will
be assigned dynamically. I will check some old printed mail I might
have from then and see if any of it has the details. All of this is
applies to what they now call Classic Compuserve and not Compuserve
2000, which is the AOLized service. I doubt you can access it with
Arachne. HTH.
