Does any UK Arachne user connect to the Internet via Freeserve?
I have set up a Freeserve account and have all the required
information. Arachne connects ok and PPP starts ok but a soon as
I try to connect to any URL I get an Error Message.
I'm pretty sure the problem is with DNSs.
They say that these are assigned dynamically and I don't need to
know them (yeah, right :).
I did a search and found a couple of DNSs that Linux users seem
to use (194.152.64.68 and 194.152.64.35) and put them in Arachne.cfg.
I've tried IP_Address BOOTP and PPP but neither is an improvement.
Apparently Freeserve uses PAP on login... as I said, I can login
just fine and epppd runs ok. When I click on a URL in the Hotlist
there is a flurry of activity on the modem and then the Skull & Crossbones.
Any Freeserve users out there?
