Son of a bitch is classic American slang. Frequently used as an expression
of surprised bewilderment as in "Well, I'll be a son of a bitch."

It's not always bad to be a son of a bitch, either. You can call someone
" a real son of a bitch" in admiration of their ability to do difficult
things.

A job that is hard to do can be a "real bitch".

Or it can be used as an insult, implying that one's Mother was a
female dog in heat. This is rarer than it used to be.

There are other variations in meaning as well, depending on context
and inflection.

This off topic discussion is offered only as an aid to international
understanding.
