Hi Gil, that was me, the idiot from the 20th century.<g>

I'm an idiot because I recalled after I posted the message that you had said
you were using monochrome.
I'm a REAL idiot because I WROTE that (and this) using Netscape in MONOCHROME.
I'm a SUPER idiot because Michael added some indicators to the altM pop-up to
help monochrome users (specifically ME) get the warning clues that had been
only visually color coded up until then.
And finally, I'm a F!~$*%g idiot for not taking that opportunity to get up on
the soapbox and explain the coding system again.

So here it is:

Green is good regardless of the number. It means that room for two buffers
is available in low DOS memory.
The flag for green is [+]. As in 72 [+] (green) - the buffers fit in the 72.
I started with 141 [+] and loaded EPPPD. Ok, that makes a LITTLE sense. :)

Black is not so hot. It means there is only room for one buffer in low mem.
The flag for black is [?]. As in 104 [?] (black) - the number is hard to
understand. Start with 139 [+]. Load EPPPD. (Uses 68-69kb) leaves about 71kb.
Allocate one buffer and for some reason show 104 [?]. ?? Actually !! :|

Red is as usual, bad - danger. There isn't/wasn't enough room for ANY buffers
in low memory and you may experience difficulty right soon.
The flag for red is [!!!]. As in 66 [!!!] (red) - makes no sense.
Start with 104 [+]. Remove 69 for EPPPD. Leaves 35 kb. This is REAL !! Hmmmm.
ADD 32kb and show 66 as what it would LIKE to have ??? :(

The above are REAL numbers obtained from testing today with A166, adjusting
available DOS memory by loading TSRs. (memory eaters) My head hurts from
trying to make the numbers mean something logical.
And I looked at the code too. :((

I hope this is a more useful reply.
Or at least interesting. ;-)
