I used it in native DOS mode to transfer files from an MS-DOS 5.0 and
Windows 3.1 machine to a Windows 95 machine. Do you believe the DR-DOS
utility FileLink will work when transferring files between machines running
different DOS/Windows OSs? Do you think you might get the error message
"incorrect DOS version"?<<

Well, Sam, I used FileLink to transfer files from a MS-DOS 5.0 machine to a
MS-DOS 6.22 machine which also has WFWG 3.11 on it, and from the MS-DOS 5.0
machine to a DR-DOS 7.0 partition on a machine that also has a W98 partition,
so I would say that the DOS version has no affect on FileLink transferring
files. The only requirement is that the same version of FileLink must be on
both machines, and using the serial transfer mode, set up to transmit/receive
the files at the same rate. Since FileLink will automatically reduce the
transfer rate until a satisfactory connection is made, I had the initial
transfer rate set to 115KB. IIRC, since it has been more than a year since I
last used FileLink, FileLink will send and install the remote part onto the
remote machine if it doesn't have FileLink.

No, I never got the error message, "incorrect DOS version."
