Hi Gangue,
I have come across the following DOS programs in boxed sets.
Timeworks Publisher Lite
DTP with page layout, typeset, text processor and graphics support, runs
only in DOS, has sort of WYSIWYG. Uses mouse, needs AT IBM PC, also
claims Amstrad PC 512, PC1640 or compatible 1512k computer, DOS 2.1 or
higher. Prints to 9 and 24 pin Epson/compatibles. Has GEM gui (remember
that one?)1988. Mono only ISTR.
4x 5.25 disks, manual and boxed set. Heavyish to post.
Envision Publisher
Full registered version, WYSIWYG (almost VBG) Mouse, graphics import
etc, text fonts scaling and so on. Full printed manual (but see below)
Colour support, (spot colour and pcx type clipart in colour) about 1993
2x 3.5 disks, manual and boxed set. Not as heavy as above.
{I could copy the disks (the prog no longer exists supported as far as I
know in a DOS version) and let more than one person have just disks if
there is enough interest} The disks have an on-disk copy of the manual,
I remember printing this out and it is word for word with the printed
manual. I cannot copy the disks for Timeworks!
I used both of these over the years for newsletters and so on, both
reasonably adequate, but obviously NOT the latest Serif pageplus even.
Before they are
"chuck it in the bucket stuff"
does anyone want them for the postage? And for the Envision without the manual,
send me a couple of 3.5 floppies and a mailer and I'll get them back to you.
I will be clearing out a lot of stuff in the near future, are you
interested in further similar stuff?
Regards
Mel
