Mike,

from Michael's remark on arachne homepage I understand the next
release will take some time, because he intends to include JS
rendering.

So in the meantime you will have to learn another way to work with
Arachne. My suggestion: stop using the mouse at all. In Arachne every
function is accessible by keyboard. If you know which key to use it
is much faster than moving the mouse.

Michael,

let us see whether I will need JS support so much, that I will
start to use this terrible toolbar in 1.70. So far I will continue
with A166. My comment to your latest interface surprises:

- it is nice that I would be able to read the title of a document if
I moved with the mouse to the center of the toolbar. But: I am
definitely not going to do that. Actually I have a spider, because I do NOT want to
have a
mouse. I need not repeat my argument concerning long URL box and
long title display. You know it.

- the "tips and tricks" are nice provocation, too. It is not very
cool, however, as frames are not a good element of HTML design. What
about recording these taglines in WAV format and embed them on the
GUI, probably at those places where nobody will expect them?
But seriously: it reminded me that the FAQ part of the Arachne
documentation would deserve some actualization. And this perhaps is
not your task, but could be done even by non-programming members of
the list (after Christmas)

Regards,
Christof Lange
