That might have been an option if I used the computer for Arachne only.
However, I have just the one machine that also runs my business
(chemical consultancy) and my hobbies (including music and composing),
with the software for those purposes.
I have no choice in operating system. Unless I went to Win 95.
That said, I also had another problem with Arachne 1.68 yesterday.
Every call to a dgi process sent A1.68 to my "homepage" on my hard
disk. Couldn't call Inbox, couldn't call Cache index, couldn't call Mail
Folders - nothing.
Checked memory - 101 kb green.
Looked into MIME.CFG and saw memory requirements for various dgi
functions, and deleted the [130] and [120] and [110] then rebooted
A1.68.
Didn't make a difference - all roads led to Homepage.
The only thing I can think of is that I originally installed it on drive
C:, then moved it all onto drive D:. I did re-set ALL paths to the new
location, but just maybe I missed something.
Eventually I spat the dummy and deleted it completely. I shall try a
re-install when I have the time to play with it.
Regards,
Ron
