If everyone simply learned to "tweak" or make do ...
Then Arachne wouldn't get better as fast as it has.

That means Arachne wouldn't be as competitive as it is now.

If some of us still want certain other things added [https], that's a
reminder to all that Arachne still isn't as competitive as it *could* be
...

What people fail to see, what people don't seem to recognize, is that
none of us would be reporting bugs or problems if we didn't think
Arachne was darn near the best thing since sliced bread!

How can I say that?  It's simple!  We wouldn't be reporting bugs because
we wouldn't be USING Arachne.

Right now I have the money to get a new "100% internet compatible system
with dozerware & camera & earphones & mic & all that stuff"  OR the
money to get a new truck cap for my little red pickemup truck.  I'm
shopping for the truck cap, with lots of windows so I don't have blind
spots like now ... and surfing and maintaining a website using Arachne.
