    I do not understand this, can you give an example, please!

    Test: 

1.  I just flipped with the arrow keys between the options page and 
    the performance page from time to time pressing <Ctrl P>. 
    Sometimes it works. Sometimes not. 

2.  When I use the link form options to performance page, there 
    seems to be approximately 50% probability for either behaviour: 

    - on the status line "mixing 256 colours", then the page coming 
    up cannot be printed grafically
    - on the status line appears "generating virtual page", then 
    everything is ok.

Is there an explanation for this?
