This is very interesting to a dinasaur like me, Barry! I'd always
thought that Turbo Basic was all that was left and that's what I still
use today, mainly because I understand Basic (FOR I=1 to 10 means much
more to me than C's never-ending {[]};;&n/p or whatever!) but also
because it makes it simple for me to get executable programmes running
on the PC.
I'm off to look at this powerbasic.com site that you mentioned, but
in the meantime, are there any other Basics (more modern than Turbo
Basic) that I should be looking out for - preferably ones that can be
downloaded and used straightaway?
