Confirmed. Definite BUG.
I tried with A1.62 and got the cartoon.
I left the connection open and switched to A1.70.
And I got the cartoon here also but at least TWICE as fast.
There was a short spasm of very fast incrementing on the status line,
but it only lasted a second, and then it continued normally.
Here is the confirmation:
I hit F8 to clear the cache and let Arachne do that incredibly
annoying thing she does of reloading the damn page I always want to
get rid of.
Well, she did reload it, or try to.
I got numbers downloading in the 200,000 range and wizzzing by so fast
they were just a blur. Then 300,000. and 400,000 and 500,000.
ESC didn't work. I had to hit the big red RESET button.
