Clarence & others,
After the last round of experimentation leading to the rewrite of
CLR.BAT, and with the problem with line length in another GUI I have yet
to finish working on, I'm not up to any further experimentation at the
moment.
So I'll ask all & sundry: Is there a way that "clearcache.dgi" can be
made the home page?
With CLR.BAT now safe, if -- for whatever reason -- cache &/or
arachne.tmp have been placed on the HDD, having clearcache as the first
thing done when starting Arachne could certainly be a thing worth
considering.
There *are* reasons, such as Kali had -- large graphic downloads can be
bigger than a small RAMdrive could handle -- which might necessitate
placing cache & temp on the HDD. So maybe a way can be found to keep
Kali & Clarence [and even me when I'm experimenting and forget] from the
embarassment of "disk full" crashes.
ON ANOTHER NOTE: Has anyone, other than I, found that they are getting
system beep during certain page & graphics processing? I didn't keep
track before of which/where/when but will in future. If anyone else has
experienced this, could you keep track also ... so we can compare notes?
l.d.
