LD, the following method(s) may be used as a template for doing ANYTHING
you might want at startup, as long as we all remember your last nasty
experience and forgive the messenger if it happens to bite you. <g>
You can start Arachne with clearcache.dgi (I will continue to use F8)
by changing DialPage in Arachne.cfg from WHATEVER you have now to:
DialPage file:clearcache.dgi
Two possibly unexpected things will happen.
First, if you have a valid history.lst (mine is deleted at startup)
Arachne will go to the last URL in the list after clearing the cache.
Second, if you have NO history.lst at startup, Arachne will go to your
online HOMEPAGE after clearing the cache.
These are basically the same things that happen if you hit F8 online.
If you don't like the above, then you can set:
DialPage file:startup.asf
and make startup.asf:
file:clearcache.dgi
file:ppp_init.htm (or whatever local page you want)
Or, you could just clear the cache yourself in the .bat with which
you start Arachne.
There are lots of interesting and possibly destructive mods we can all
make if we are up for experimenting (which you have given up for now).
Just remember to look out for the loops. <G>

Crap.
Now I have to hack Insight again. I almost sent this to LD instead of
the list. How do you all manage to remember to select "Reply to" ?
