Ron & Michael, It's not a matter of the problem lying with vitural screens; any attempt to load the page with images on results in a total system lockup for me, with or without virt screen. Loadtime w/out images was something like 3 seconds, and I had an idea of one of the problems as soon as I saw the page. But I started loading in image bits one at a time, and was then able to confirm that one of the problems [not necessarily the only] is that the table holding the mapped image isn't rendering correctly at all ... blank space, border overlaps, etc. Thus I cannot say that it is solely an image problem with this page; it could well be that the image handling is fine, but the flawed table is causing the lockup on my system. l.d. P.S. The floating point error could be when the positioning of various cells in the table doesn't work?? I didn't run into it, but I also have a pentium 233MHz so I might not have seen any such message if one did appear. ==== On Mon, 29 Jan 2001 07:57:54 +0000, "Edenyard" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Dear Listers, > Could someone please check this one out: > http://www.ladybird.co.uk/noflash_index.html > When I try it on V1.70 with frames on, images on, 640 x 480 > hi-colour, I get a message saying "Floating point error: Domain" just > before the page fully renders and as the "generating virtual screen" > message appears at the bottom of the screen.
