I'm sorry to say that I've found the same problem.
I've been able to determine that it happens *almost* every time that a D/L
is aborted (click "X icon" or press ESC key) on a page which does not
send its size.
I can't get it to do it on any page which DOES send its size.
Status bar "Downloading page (nnnn bytes read)".....BUG!
Status bar "Downloading nnnn bytes of nnnn bytes"..... No Problems (almost)
What's happening on pages that do send the size is that the byte counter
very rapidly increments to the "end size" before aborting.
(`ESC' pressed at 20kb of 100kb..... counter goes to 100kb in 1/2sec
before abort actually succeeds)
